Sizing Up The Right HDTV Screen

After having determined how much you are willing to spend on an HDTV, the next question that comes to mind is what size of screen yo should get. Do you get those gigantic movie-theater like units or settle for the regular widescreen sizes? Large screens cost the most, but it's not a matter of getting the largest to get the best. Screen size is relative to your viewing area so a smaller screen will work better on limited space. HDTVs are meant to be viewed from a recommended distance, since sitting too close will give you poor viewing results.

Nearly all TVs and HDTVs sold these days come with the widescreen format option, but if by chance you're opting not to use this feature, the standard rule of thumb is to sit no closer than twice the the diagonal measurement of the screen. For widescreen format options, high definition resolution allows you to sit closer without bungling up the images on the screen. You can actually sit just one and a half times the distance of the screen's diagonal measurement and not experience any loss of picture quality. You can actually enjoy the immense feel of theater-like pictures anywhere - in your bedroom, office, the living room, or an all-out entertainment den just dedicated to home movie viewing!

Check out our top selection of Samsung HDTVS in various sizes! You can start out with the Samsung LN32B550 32 Inch for your bedroom or get the Samsung UN55B8000 55-Inch HDTV for the living room or entertainment den.
